More than a decade ago, Isabel and Jorge decided to leave the city behind and move to Playa Avellanas, on Costa Rica's northern Pacific coast. We found a hidden natural paradise surrounded by biodiversity. The proximity to the ocean, great waves, golden sand, turquoise waters, beautiful sunsets, the peaceful pace of life, and the warmth of the local community instantly won us over. We built a small rustic lodge that grew over time, in harmony with the natural environment and the sustainable lifestyle we value so much. It evolved into cozy, individual accommodations that offer an authentic, family-friendly experience.A few years later, life gave us the greatest gift: our son Gabriel. Raising him in Playa Avellanas has been a dream come true. He grew up immersed in nature, learning to care for the sea and the Earth, in a healthy, unspoiled environment.Our lodge embodies a lifestyle that prioritizes human connection, simplicity, and respect for nature.
